LEFT FRONT DOOR ASSEMBLY:
Door assembly
- FORD Escape 2016 model was selected as the reference vehicle
- Left front door assembly was selected as the chunk to be analysed
- Door openings, latches, hinges, trim panel, door check strap, door striker, weather strip, door wiring harness and several sub systems and components were considered while analysing the chunk
- Decomposition tree, interface diagram and interface matrix was prepared based on several packaging considerations elaborated upon in the project report
- P (physical), S (spatial), F (functional), E (electrical), M (material flow), I (information transfer) codes are used to show the relationship between systems, sub-systems and components with each other and other external systems
