Formula Student India and Formula Student Germany:
2014-2016:
- Worked on a KTM 390 single cylinder water cooled engine
- Designed a new wiring harness (according to FSAE Rule specifications)
- Used Performance Electronics 3 ECU for tuning the engine:
- Ignition maps (ignition advance and retard BTDC depending on engine load condition)
- Fuel maps (fuel injection timing in milliseconds, varying pulse-width)
- Lambda sensor (Wideband O2 sensor for achieving Rich/lean air-fuel mixtures (with reference to 14.75-stoichiometric AFR) at different RPM ranges: Starting(cranking and firing the engine), Idle, high RPMs, during acceleration/deceleration
- Calibration several sensors: crankshaft position sensor, Throttle position sensor, MAP sensor, coolant temperature sensor
- Controlling several outputs like the fuel pump and fan (turn ON/OFF) based on coolant temperature
- All of the engine tuning was performed using the PE3 software and interfacing the ECU with the laptop via an ethernet cable
2013-2014:
- Worked on a Royal Enfield classic 500 air cooled engine
- Used the stock wiring harness, eliminating redundant components
- Developed a display system using arduino UNO and an LCD (16X2) displaying RPM of the differential casing and gear number (Kindly email for detailed explanations and codes)
