Sock-Tube experiment set up at Combustion Lab

  • Low level UV absorption using a shock tube
  • Working with an IR spectrometer and a CCD Line camera for performing iterations
  • Interpreting and analysing data from the CCD Line camera using LABVIEW
  • Identifying the wavelengths and structure of intermediate species at high temperature and pressure conditions

  • Performing iterations with Neon source (and other sources) and observing the emission spectrum and calibrating the source
  • Capturing graphs using the CCD Line camera LABVIEW software and determining whether the focal length needs to be adjusted
  • Elevating the Infra-red spectrometer using posts and post holder arrangement such that the experiment can be performed at the height of the shock tube experiment set-up
